Caitlin Foord

Caitlin Foord is an Australian professional soccer player who currently plays as a forward for Arsenal in the English Women’s Super League and the Australian women’s national team. She was born on November 11, 1994, in Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia.

Foord began her professional career with the Sydney FC at the age of 16 and quickly became a key player for the team. In 2011, she was named the W-League’s Young Player of the Year and helped lead Sydney FC to win the W-League Grand Final. Foord has also played for other Australian and international clubs, including Sky Blue FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States and Vegalta Sendai Ladies in Japan’s Nadeshiko League.

Foord has represented the Australian women’s national team since 2011 and has earned over 90 caps, scoring more than 20 goals. She has played in several major international tournaments, including the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the 2016 Summer Olympics, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she helped Australia win the bronze medal.

Foord is known for her speed, technical skills, and ability to score goals. She has been recognized as one of the top young players in women’s soccer and has won several awards throughout her career, including the Julie Dolan Medal as the best player in the W-League in 2016-2017 and the AFC Women’s Player of the Year award in 2016.
