Cody Simpson is an Australian musician and actor. He was born on January 11, 1997, on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Simpson grew up in a musical family and learned to play guitar at a young age. He started recording songs and uploading them to YouTube when he was 12 years old, and quickly gained a following.

In 2009, Simpson signed with Atlantic Records and released his debut single, “iYiYi,” featuring rapper Flo Rida. The song charted in Australia, and Simpson’s popularity continued to grow with the release of his debut EP, “4 U,” in 2010.

Simpson released his debut studio album, “Paradise,” in 2012, which featured the hit single “Wish U Were Here” featuring Becky G. He followed up with two more albums, “Surfers Paradise” in 2013 and “Free” in 2015.

Aside from his music career, Simpson has also acted in television shows and movies, including a recurring role on the TV series “Cougar Town” and a lead role in the 2018 film “Underdogs.”
