Dan Carter

Dan Carter is a former professional rugby union player from New Zealand who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fly-halves of all time. He was born on March 5, 1982, in Southbridge, New Zealand, and grew up on a farm. Carter began playing rugby at a young age and quickly excelled, earning a spot on the New Zealand under-19 team while still a teenager.

He made his professional debut for the Crusaders in 2003 and quickly established himself as one of the best players in the world. He played for the Crusaders in Super Rugby for 13 seasons, helping the team win four titles during that time. He also played for the All Blacks, New Zealand’s national rugby union team, for over a decade and won two Rugby World Cups with them in 2011 and 2015.

Throughout his career, Carter was known for his exceptional kicking ability, tactical astuteness, and all-round skill as a playmaker. He retired from rugby in 2018 with numerous accolades to his name, including three World Rugby Player of the Year awards, two Super Rugby titles, and two Rugby World Cup titles.

Since retiring, Carter has worked as a rugby analyst for various media outlets and has also taken up coaching. He is married to former Black Sticks hockey player Honor Dillon, and the couple has three children together.
