Rose Byrne

Rose Byrne grew up in a creative household, with her mother working as a school administrator and her father as a statistician and market researcher. She began taking acting classes at age eight and later studied acting at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City.

Byrne’s breakthrough role came in the hit comedy film “Bridesmaids” in 2011, in which she played the snobbish Helen. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Byrne’s performance received praise from both audiences and critics. She went on to star in several other successful comedies, including “Neighbors” and its sequel, “Spy,” and “Juliet, Naked.”

Aside from her comedic roles, Byrne has also tackled more dramatic fare. She earned critical acclaim for her performance in the independent film “The Dead Girl” in 2006, and in 2015 she received a Golden Globe nomination for her work in the drama series “Damages.” In 2019, she starred in the limited series “Mrs. America” as feminist icon Gloria Steinem, earning another Golden Globe nomination.

In addition to her acting career, Byrne has also produced several films, including “The Turning” and “I Am Mother.” She is also an advocate for gender equality and has spoken out about the gender pay gap in Hollywood.

Byrne is married to actor Bobby Cannavale, and the couple has two children together. She splits her time between Australia and the United States, and remains one of Australia’s most successful actresses.
