Stan Walker is a Australian-born New Zealand singer, songwriter and actor. He was born on October 23, 1990 in Melbourne, Australia, but grew up in New Zealand. He rose to fame after winning the seventh season of Australian Idol in 2009, and has since released several successful albums and singles.

Walker’s musical career began at a young age, when he sang in church choirs and competed in talent shows. He auditioned for Australian Idol in 2009 and made it onto the show, impressing judges and audiences alike with his soulful voice and charisma.
