Tim Cahill is a retired Australian footballer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest Socceroos of all time. He was born on December 6, 1979, in Sydney, Australia, and began his professional career with the English club Millwall in 1998.
Cahill’s success with Millwall helped him earn a move to the Premier League side Everton in 2004, where he spent eight years and became a club legend. During his time with Everton, he helped the team qualify for the UEFA Champions League and also scored some of the club’s most memorable goals.
After leaving Everton in 2012, Cahill played for several other clubs around the world, including the New York Red Bulls, Shanghai Shenhua, and Melbourne City. He also represented the Australian national team at three World Cups and scored five goals, becoming the Socceroos’ all-time leading scorer in World Cup competition.
Cahill announced his retirement from professional football in March 2019, having made over 700 appearances for club and country. He has since become an ambassador for football and was appointed to the role of executive producer for the Australian version of the popular reality TV show “Survivor” in 2021.
